Hi,

We have a product using the DA1469x with the MX25U3235F. We're currently looking for replacements for this part because of stock issues.

I know you support the MX25U3235F, W25Q32FW, GD25LE32, but there are no stock of those either.

I was wondering if any of these chips could be used as a replacement without having to create an entirely new flash driver.

GD25LQ64CWIGR

IS25WP016D-JKLE

MX25R6435FZNIL0

Or if you have any other recommendations for chips that can be used as replacements. Or if it can't be directly replaced, how hard is modifying the driver to change from a 32Mb chip to a different size chip of the same part?

Thanks.

Hi AdamShier,

Thanks for your question online and for your interest in our BLE solutions.

I would recommend using one of the Dialog QSPI memories – see our QSPI portfolio in the link below :

https://www.dialog-semiconductor.com/products/memory/dual-quad-spi-memory

My suggestion would be to use either AT25XE321D or AT25FF321A – please check their datasheets below :

https://www.dialog-semiconductor.com/sites/default/files/2021-02/DS-AT25FF321A-181.pdf

For creating a flash driver check out the following tutorial :

http://lpccs-docs.dialog-semiconductor.com/da1469x_creating_flash_driver/index.html

This tutorial demonstrates how to develop a new custom QSPI Memory Storage(Flash or RAM) driver by dividing the process into several subsequent steps.

For the AT25XE321D there is a flash driver already implemented and it is available for download - you will just need to add this driver in your project – you can find it on the DA1469x product page under the Software Applications & Examples: Flash Drivers section :

https://www.dialog-semiconductor.com/products/bluetooth-low-energy/da1469x#tab-field_tab_content_resources

For the AT25FF321A, we don’t have a driver available for download yet, but I think we have something internally. I can ask internally to check this out if you are interested in using this part.

Can I also ask about the quantities you need?

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Hi,

These chips would work, however there's also no stock for them. We only need 100 for the immediate build. Is there any way we could get this quantity through another channel?

Thanks.
