Low-Noise PMICs

DA7217 fails to hold PLL lock in SRM mode

Background
I'm attempting configure the DA7217 to work at sample rates from 8000 to 48000 Hz through a full duplex I2S connection. Lower sample rates appear impossible with PLL_BYPASS mode because of clock restrictions in the microcontroller's serial audio peripheral, so I am attempting to use PLL_SRM mode.

Problem
The PLL lock does not hold, and an SRM lock is never established (see attached screenshot).

Test case
Configured I2S settings
- Sample rate: 48000 Hz
- MCLK: ~12.285 MHz
- BCLK: ~1.536 MHz
(Note: the values above are calculated, I cannot measure them)

Apologies for the delay, I was on vacation.

 

Unfortunately the chip is on a PCB so I have no physical way to measure any of the clocks. However, I may be able to sample the processor's MCLK / WCLK pins by reading its registers using a timer. I will get back to you.

Are there any other things I can send you that may help?
