Analog PAK Configurable Mixed-signal IC with Operational Amplifiers, Digital Rheostats, EEPROM and a Wide Set of Analog and Digital Macrocells

The SLG47004 builds upon the flexibility of the GreenPAK’s traditional mixed-signal solution by integrating a mix of advanced analog features including Op Amps with programmable bandwidth, 10-bit digital rheostats, analog switches, and a chopper analog comparator. The unique Auto-Trim feature highlights the ability of this GreenPAK device to periodically tune its rheostat value to either compensate for system error sources or reconfigure circuit parameters. The SLG47004 provides dynamic power down control for all analog and digital blocks to optimize power consumption performance. Common applications include sensor interfaces, ADC analog front-ends, configurable amplifiers, tunable filters, and a variety of other analog circuits. This multi-time programmable solution is built into a tiny 3 mm x 3 mm package.

SLG4DVKGSD not working

Hello, 

I bought 2 SLG4DVKGSD that are In-System Debugging/Programming, but both does't work. Just by connecting the SLG4DVKGSD at USB port computer, the Status LED off and the Power LED blinking. The LEDs in that condition, indicates an 'Overvoltage protection at VDD line'. Tha datasheet says it happens when external power supply voltage exceeded 5.6V.

I checked the USB port with an multimeter, and there is only 5,01V in the USB port. I also tried to connect the SLG4DVKGSD at a variable power source, with 3.3V at VDD, but nothing changed.

I download the following document on dialog site: um-gp-004_user_manual_greenpak_serial_debugger_1v0.pdf, and I would like to know if there is a newer version.

I would like to know if it is possible to fix those SLG4DVKGSD, since I waited a long time to receive and now I need to start work.

Thanks for reaching out. It is unfortunate that both of your GSDs don't work. Could you let me know which version of OS and GPAK designer SW you are using? Did you try to start the emulator in the GPD?

I am using OS: Windows 10 Pro (64 bits), and GreenPAK Designer v.6.25.

When I use the SLG4DVKGSD, the emulation button is gray, so I can not click. I don't know if its missing some configuration.

Just sent an imagem of how it appears.

Hi,

Please try using the ELT tester SW. Its a simple tester which requires 4 steps. To start , select GSD from the drop down menu. After the device is connected, execute Step 3 and 4. Please send me the screenshot of the log as you go Step by step. Please send me a short email so that I can send you the Tester files

I also had a  problem with the GreenPAK Serial Debugger.

When first plugged in the amber power LED flashes indicating an over voltage. We (Roman Dumych) tracked the issue down to a the USB interface. This can be corrected using the latest version of the ELT software. In step 1, select ‘GreenPAK Serial Debugger’ , step 2 ‘Write Descriptor’ and steps 3 and 4 should show ‘passed’.

Hello All,

Sorry for the slow response.

I have been looking into this issue and it seems to be a hardware problem.

Previously we had the in-system programmer board, this was primarily used to program the SLG46824, SLG46826 and the SLG47004 devices in system.  This board has been altered and rebranded as the in-system debugger, this can now be used to program the SLG46824, SLG46826 and the SLG47004 and can also be used to put any device with I2C access into emulation mode. However, it would seem that a revision of the in-system debugger board has a hardware issue. We do not have a viable workaround for those boards.

 

The in-system debugger board has now been made unavailable on our website.

 

I think the solution here is to check for the original ISP stock and replace the current board.
