Tuning an ERM Haptic on the DA7280

How is tuning done with the DA7280 EVAL KIT to find the ideal settings for use on an ERM haptic motor? The kit came with examples of how to tune an LRA but very little information on ERMs.

Hello!

The tuning and control is more complex with an LRA than a ERM. I will see what documentation we have for ERMs.

Since i2c has this "ack" bits, possibly 16-bit instead of bytes should be used, as it is easy to encode ack/nack status in return bytes as well as start/stop vidmate designators in the direction to a device.

Hello,

We do not have a dedicated guide for tuning ERMs, there is some useful information in the datasheet for setting up ERMs.

Can you share the ERM part number or/and datasheet? I can look to see if we have a script ready or if we can advise you.

Kind regards,
Elliott
