Through our business activity, we create value for a wide range of stakeholders
Our most important social impact is the generation of economic value, our contribution to the advancement of technological innovation and the enhancement of local skills pools.
Enhancing the skills pool
We have a number of programmes within schools, colleges and universities to attract the best and brightest talent to Dialog.
We want to encourage young people into electronics to ensure the future pipeline for the wider engineering industry so we sponsor and mentor students at leading technical colleges and universities. We are also supporters of women in STEM initiatives.
Community engagement and corporate giving
Our community engagement and corporate giving programme encourages employees to engage with the communities in which they work. The policy has an emphasis on activities to which we can bring additional value through our expertise and business activities.
We actively encourage employees to participate in fundraising and volunteering activities and provide fund-matching as they do good in the world.

Economic value generation
As with any business, our primary obligation is to generate profit for our shareholders. In pursuit of this aim, we also generate broader economic value, much of which is distributed to a wider set of stakeholders
Advancement of technological innovation
In 2017, we invested US$307 million in R&D, meaning that since 2012 we have invested in excess of US$ 1.3 billion.
We are primarily focused on power management, power conversion, low power short range connectivity and solid state LED lighting.
