SmartPulse wireless sensors and actuators are on the SC14SPNODE module for data and voice, which uses the DECT ULE wireless transmission standard and integrates baseband, radio transceiver, power amplifier and antenna in a single package. Applications are defined in software and a range of software stacks can be downloaded from Dialog’s customer portal.
The SmartPulse family also includes a DECT ULE enabled basestation device, SC14CVMDECT, with embedded basestation software, as a system-in-package.
By using the DECT ULE standard the devices enable the development of a wide range of new wireless consumer products that run for up to 10 years on a single AAA battery pack. Furthermore, systems running SmartPulse sensors self-configure with a home’s DECT ULE / DECT enabled hub or internet gateway, allowing connected systems to be managed over the web using a smartphone, laptop or tablet PC.
All three SmartPulse units integrate a simple to use AT Command set for configuring wireless links between multiple sensors and the base station, eliminating the need for an in-depth understanding of the DECT protocol.
To help accelerate the OEM product creation cycle, Dialog has created complete development kits for all SmartPulse devices.
To further enable the rapid development of its customers cloud connected product suites, Dialog has also created a SmartPulse DECT IP base station reference design, which enables rapid implementation of internet connectivity for SmartPulse devices. This design is supported by Dialog’s Rhea μClinux based VoIP software development environment.
The SC14SPNODE, with optional software packages, is a DECT data pump for ultra-low energy data and voice services. A star network topology can be made using SC14CVMDECT as a basestation and the SC14SPNODE as ultra-low energy nodes. Applications are defined in software and packages can be downloaded from Dialog’s customer portal.
Our versatile and powerful modules integrate all hardware and software components into a single wireless system-in-package and eliminate the need for RF expertise, design resources or testers.
They also feature complete protocol and application interface software. This allows you to develop exciting wireless applications without requiring in-depth RF knowledge. What's more, each module is fully tested, so you don't need costly RF testers either.
Detailed information on specific type numbers can be found on our customer portal or you can contact our sales offices.
The modules incorporate DECT ULE wireless networking technology. This ultra-low-energy version of the well-known DECT standard delivers long-range, interference-free networking with plug-and-play installation and data rates that support voice, data and video. It also allows typical sensor applications to run for years on a single AAA battery pack.
On the inside, our wireless sensor modules are highly complex, multifunctional solutions. Yet incorporating them into your products is simplicity itself. They connect to your man-machine interface (MMI) through either SPI or UART interfaces, and the API lets you develop application software easily. We also offer complete development kits to make your design process even smoother.
