Careers: Principal DSP Software Engineer

Role Definition: • Embedded DSP code development and integration for general filter functions and audio enhancements • Establish verification methodology for the embedded DSP code release • Manage external contractors and take ownership of the final code release and compliance to product specifications and customer requirements

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Integration and verification of embedded DSP code developed internally and from third party vendors • Interpreting Requirements Specifications to develop framework for the DSP algorithms. • Participate in specification and design of embedded DSP audio solutions • Participate in specification and optimization of Audio subsystems and algorithms • Organize work both internally and from external contractors to ensure all the goals are met • Provide technical support for a product from its conception through to production • Evaluation and analysis of audio enhancement and customer specific functions with DSP • Support Applications Engineering for production ramp up and customer specific requirements • Technical support of the sales and marketing teams

Key Candidate Attributes:
Essential - • Fluent in C programming with in-depth knowledge of software verification methodologies • Demonstrable skill of technical leadership and managing external contractors • In-depth knowledge of embedded code development and relevant programming languages • Concise and proactive communication skills within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment.

Desirable - • Experience in making audio quality assessments. • Competence in developing efficient audio filters and other audio enhancement algorithms • Understanding of programming for audio and communication applications.
