Role Definition:
- Leading the development process both technically and through task deliverables
- Developing task assignment and project schedules with Project Manager
- Interpreting Requirements Specifications to develop system and design strategy for Audio & Power Management products.
- Implementing and steering top level design from Specification to synthesized and STA clean netlist.
- Driving verification process for Projects.
- Supporting and mentoring engineers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensuring Digital development process achieves, budget, schedule and project deliverable goals
- Design of optimized digital blocks meeting functional, cost and low power constraints
- Ownership of the Digital Design process for projects to conform to Dialog’s Design process
- Driving and ensuring Design review process is implemented
- Support scripts and design constraints to perform synthesis, dft insertion and static timing analysis
- Support DFT strategy and implementation
- Verification planning, feature extraction and verification test case development.
- Interface with P&R for Digital hand-off and post layout verification
Key Candidate Attributes:
Essential -
- Demonstrable skill of team and technical leadership and management
- Fluent in either Verilog or VHDL RTL coding and ASIC design methodology.
- Proven ability to optimize and develop design architecture from chip inception through to compliant netlist
- Competence in developing design constraints and Synthesis scripts (Synopsys DC)
- Proficiency in developing block and top level Timing constraints for STA and P&R handoff
- Concise and proactive communication skills within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment.
- Command of written and verbal English
- Willingness to travel
Desirable -
- Ability to carry out Engineering performance appraisals.
- Experience of low power digital design techniques.
- Understanding of analogue/ mixed signal IC design.
