
Manager: DfT Manager Location: Swindon, Nabern, Munich
Role Definition: • Achieve lowest possible test cost (minimise test time and silicon overhead) while maintaining required quality level. • Develop BIST, BOST and ATE based testing concepts for above given goal • Provide a DfT specification describing the test concepts and specifying the implementation (digital and analogue). • Follow the industry state-of-the-art methodologies of testing, apply and develop them further, invent! • Training of colleagues on Design-for-Test techniques
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Hold DfT workshop with design and test team, specification of DfT and test approaches
• Develop mixed-signal DfT blocks
• Generation of test pattern
• Verification of test modes and test pattern prior tapeout
• Hold peer reviews
• Validation of test modes in the lab or on ATE
• Carry out test experiments to validate new test methods, report on results
• Act as a primary interface between Design and Test Engineering
• Propose patent applications as soon as they become evident.
Key Candidate Attributes:
Essential -
• Engineering degree in microelectronics.
• Experience in one of the fields below and a good understanding of the others
o Analogue design with emphasis on yield and producibility
o Memory and digital DfT, insertion of test structures and automatic test pattern generation
o ATE and test engineering of mixed-signal ICs
• Willingness to cross over knowledge and experience domains
• Command of verbal and written English
• Willingness to travel
Desirable -
• Exposure to production test related engineering challenges
• Published results (patents, conference papers)
