At Dialog, we recognise that we have a special responsibility to use our core competencies and minimise the impact of electrical devices on the environment. It is also an integral component of our long-term business strategy that we minimise the waste and emissions created in the production of our ICs.
Our technology enables significant improvements in device efficiency and typical usage tests show our power management chips are able to decrease the consumption of a portable device, such as smartphones and netbooks, by approximately 30 per cent.
And, just as importantly, we believe that Dialog, and our suppliers, have a responsibility to behave ethically and not just meet, but exceed the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives from the European community, mandated since July 1st 2006 - restricting the use of lead and other materials in electronic component products. As such we perform rigorous internal and independent auditing to ensure we are as efficient as possible - the results of this approach can be found in our environmental credentials section.
In carrying out our responsibility program, we rely on the time, talents and passion of our employees worldwide and I firmly believe the benefits we're seeing are just the beginning.
Here’s to a brighter future,
Jalal Bagherli
